What is tinnitus retraining therapy?
TRT (tinnitus retraining therapy) was developed in USA and in Europe. We use a small sound generator for treatment. A patient hears the quiet noise for several hours a day. The patient feels his or her tinnitus decreased with this sound therapy. Gradually the patient will get used to the tinnitus.@@
How to receive the therapy?
Firstly, visit the Ear, Nose and Throat department of our hospital. Medical
insurance is applied for the consultation. We have to rule out those diseases
such as middle ear infection or Menierefs disease, which require different
therapy.
The ENT doctor judges whether the TRT therapy is suitable for you.
You can borrow the sound generator for 2 weeks free of charge for trial.
You can decide the purchase after the trial. A sound generator costs 58000
yen.
Notice
ENT dept is open for new patients from Monday to Saturday 8:30 to 11:30,
13:30 to 16:00 (Thursday closed, Saturday till 11:00).
